The NRF-SAIAB seeks to appoint a panel of qualified and experienced individuals (translation practitioners) or companies to provide accurate and high-quality translation services (including editing and proofreading, training etc.) from English to any other official South African language for a range of publications for NRF-SAIAB, on an as-needed basis. SAIAB’s publications are used to profile the Institute’s research highlights to different stakeholders such as funders, government departments, higher education institutions, research students, the general public, amongst many other stakeholders.
The Translation Services are required in a number of official South African languages such as: isiXhosa, isiZulu, isiNdebele, siSwati, Afrikaans, Sepedi, Sesotho, Setswana, Tshivenda and Xitsonga (with the exception of English), but primarily isiXhosa, isiZulu and Afrikaans, provided the geographical location of NRF-SAIAB.
